. This is clearly not intended as a high security lock for valuables, but as a security lock it seems very good. There are 6 pins in the key cylinder and I believe 5 of them are coil type security pins. In addition, the shape of the key forces anyone picking the lock to work from an awkward angle. This lock is very difficult to pick - harder than many heavy Master Lock models. As such, this is a great practice lock for those who enjoy picking locks as a hobby. I bought it for this purpose and haven't been able to decide on it yet. Highly recommended both for the intended use as a security lock and as a lock for demanding workouts!
