I bought this padlock to practice picking. I have to say this is a good cheap lock for it. I must warn you though, if you rotate the cylinder more than 180 degrees the key pins will fall out of the cylinder and the lock will be unusable. I tore up this padlock to see what it is made of and was surprised at what I found. The shackle is ball bearing mounted and the core is pierced with serrated and coiled safety pins. In other words, only an experienced locksmith/fitter can open it non-destructively. As for physical strength, the bonds are quite strong. The body is fairly stiff for toughened plastic. I drove the chisel into the body for a few minutes before I managed to break the body. Definitely a strong padlock.

Among burglars, this lock is known to be the most difficult of all the locks Master Lock sells. Lock experts wonder why Master Lock doesn't sell locks with a stronger body but with the same core as this lock. This one is for industrial indoor use, the case is plastic only.
