Review on Irwin 88702 6 Extension Bit by Max Rosengren

I bought this 6 inch extension to fit a drill bit to remove scale film from spa and pool tiles. I've just moved into another house where the pool type pool tiles have not been properly maintained (no wonder). The spa film was quite layered and extremely noticeable as the spa water level went down during the day after filtering. I bought a 3M plastic paint grinding wheel ($7 for HD) and used it to give my screwdriver some extra length. It works well for the pressure and movement required to remove a layer of what I believe to be calcium deposits. The tiles are looking a lot better now, but this is a process, not an event, so this is a weekly maintenance for me. Make sure the water level is low enough to protect the "CORDLESS" drill from splashing water and make sure the tiles are wet before you start removing. This works much better than a brush or stone washcloth scratching your pool tiles. Pool chemicals also help prevent limescale build-up. Spend money to cut down on your sweaty work.
