Review on ๐Ÿšด Radbot 1000 Tail Light by Portland Design Works by Bryan Brant

Among the best! but.

Initially I was a bit disappointed with this light as it projects a cone of light directly behind it. However, after riding with more experienced drivers, they found that the light could be seen from behind about 20 degrees off centerline, and it's BRIGHT! Though there's no wide beam and almost no sidelight, it's very good for cars approaching you from behind. some vertical lenses to spread the beam into the larger picture, this little light could match and maybe outperform all the others. We tested multiple brands at 400 feet, placing the lights one at a time on a horizontal turntable. This flashlight easily shared the top spot with the newest and improved NiteRider Solas 2W. Even the yaw/sideways at 400 feet was the same! User-replaceable batteries are always a plus, whether alkaline or rechargeable. A downside, and it's critical. PDW uses a small horizontally connecting sliding mount adapter that presumably snaps into the back of the light. Bad design! The light WILL vibrate when released from the clip and your tail light WILL hit the road unless you STICK the mount to the light. This is a design flaw that should be fixed by PDW. So ride the headlight on the back of your bike until it falls off, then take it home, put a dab of Industrial Glue on it, put it back together and don't worry.
