From the listing, you might think it's mostly plastic. It's not like this! It's quite heavy and has rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on the table. The ability to turn on/off different ports is also very handy, especially if you have multiple devices like laptop coolers/desk fans that you don't need to unplug to turn off. It can be used as a standalone charger for your devices, or you can connect it to your computer and use it as a USB hub to transfer data via USB 3.0. Overall the build quality is excellent, I am very happy with this purchase!
