No support for updates from Autel

I bought the Autel AL519 five years ago and am very impressed with its functionality for a budget scanner. Since I believe that an update is not critical for these cheap generic OBD scanners, I didn't think of updating them until recently. I've tried connecting it from the CD that came with the tool, through the Autel website, and through packs from other Revain buyers. For one reason or another, none of them worked. Since the Autel AL519 is identical to Harbor Freight's Cen-Tech 60694 scanner (both likely made by Autel), I went to the Harbor Freight website, showed the description of the Cen-Tech 60694 tool and was able to update it there. One can only guess how long this will be available. I warn others following this path that once you update your Autel AL519 through Harbor Freight, the initial logo on your scanner will change from Autel to Cen-Tech. I don't really care; Same scanner, same software. If it's important to you, don't. What's important to me is that Autel's refusal to support their tools regardless of the price range says a lot about the company. How can they expect potential buyers to buy their other, more expensive scanners, knowing that they will eventually stop supporting them?
