NOT the best option for a puppy crate
Not the best option if you are looking for something to keep your newborn puppies warm. I bought this because of the ceramic light bulb (no backlight) and the digital thermostat controller was able to ensure the puppy box didn't go below 85 degrees. After the 1st day I returned it because it didn't give off enough heat. I hardly felt any heat unless my hand was within 5 inches of the bulb.
