Review on Gizmo Dorks 1.75mm Filament Printers: Optimal Additive Manufacturing Products in 3D Printing Supplies by Daniel Jackson

One of the lowest quality threads

This is one of the lowest quality threads I've tried and I will never buy it again or recommend it to anyone. In contrast to many filaments, this one has a very narrow printing temperature range. Be very careful when printing out the temperature calibration for your setup before using it. For me, 185 was the only really decent temperature. And even then there were many stretches. This is the thickest PLA I've ever used. It is advertised on a strand of bronze colored metal. Is it a bronze color? I would say no It's kind of greenish beige or khaki. Of course, there are many variations of the bronze color, but it's usually a bit deeper and brownish/reddish. Since it's not silk PLA, there's nothing particularly metallic about it. It's less glossy than a lot of the other plain PLAs I've used. Looking for anything good about this material I can attest that under ideal conditions it will print. If you really take the time to print out calibration tests to make sure you have the right settings for that filament, you can get a good print out. The advantage of this silk/metallic thread is that it is not brittle like these types of threads. So if you need something like bronze but don't want to go brittle, this can be an added benefit. But for me, the effort versus the reward means I'll give it up every time. It's not a very good thread and doesn't look like bronze in any way.
