Other reviewers complained that this cake stand was difficult to open. Reading Nordic Ware's instructions on the steward's packaging also left me confused and struggling. Your choice of words could be greatly improved. Instead of referring to "pushing on the tight ends", it would be much better to describe these ends as "shorter ends". Once this is understood and noticed that there are plastic spikes that are inserted into the ground, the picture becomes much clearer. Graduating is not an easy task. I haven't baked the caretaker's bread, but I assume it works as it should. I just wish they had more confidence in the lid staying in place during shipping to have a carrying handle. Apparently they don't because they recommend keeping the keeper down until they maybe make a better keeper in the future, but for now we'll have to settle for that design. The only one I can find that works best with the width of cakes made in Nordic Ware bread pans.
