Great solid shock absorber for 2011 Nissan Pathfinder

Bought for my 2011 Nissan Pathfinder. A BIG improvement over the pathetic apology for the shock Nissan gave these trucks when they left the factory. I replaced those and the horrible rear springs with Moog springs - Moog 81119 Coil Spring Set. The car feels a little firmer but definitely more controlled and no longer has what is commonly referred to as "death wobble". Highly recommended. Photos of this can be found in the R51 suspension section of the Nissan Path forums. These things were pretty difficult to put on, but it wasn't that bad. You'll need about a 2-3 inch extension and a prayer that the top shock bolt doesn't get stuck too hard. It would be a good idea to have a crowbar just in case. If it's not around, use a pipe along with a ratchet for extra leverage. I can only recommend these shock absorbers. I believe they are for 4WD vehicles, but they work for 2WD vehicles as well. attenuation difference. These cars are heavy, so higher damping isn't such a bad thing.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
