Excellent gate for a large opening

We were looking for a large gate to close the opening to our dining room so as not to let our dog into that room. After much research I settled on this gate and measured it to make sure it was true to size. BENEFITS: Lightweight but strong - These goals are lightweight and light enough to be moved by one person, yet still stand up well. and I'm not worried about it breaking - "Clean" look - it's by no means pretty (what a goal it is) but I've seen some ugly goals there. I'm not ashamed to hold him close or lean against the wall. CONS: - It's short - I knew that when I measured it, but I was hoping my (50lb) border collie wouldn't try to jump over it to show his dislike of fences. Oops. If you have a large dog that is somewhat familiar with jumping, you might want to look for a larger product. On the other hand, my answer was to buy a second one and attach it to the first one for a relatively large (34") gate. No feedback yet if that worked (just did) but I think it should solve the problem.Overall it's a good product not too expensive to cover a large area.No doubt it's easy to step over and it should be Works great for a small dog 04/2013- after a long time In use two of these are connected together (I just used zip ties), my dog didn't jump on it and it works great.
