Review on πŸ”‡ Optimized PPC FPA6-54 6dB Forward Path Attenuator for DOCSIS Cable TV Box and Modem at 75 Ohms by Brian Hazzard

Great simple little solution

We've had internet outages for the past few weeks. Sometimes our modem lost signal for a few seconds, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for a few hours. The information the modem gave us in the error log seemed to confirm what we were experiencing, a random intermittent loss of signal. A little research in the error logs yielded some results that prompted me to call in a technician to replace the line from the telephone pole to my modem; Some search results advised me to check incoming signal strengths first. Even if your incoming signal is within an acceptable range, it seems that some modems can be sharper than others. This little pad took just 30 seconds to install and we were able to drop the output level from 9.8dBmV to 3.9dBmV. We're so happy with this tricky little modem that we've had a stable connection since installing it and zero (!) patched or unpatched packets so far.
