Review on πŸ” Transparent Spool with Tight Filament Diameter Tolerance (2 2Lbs) by Vivek Allen

Definitely bright orange

I don't normally print in this color but decided to give it a try. I usually print PLA too, although I used to print PETG. In general, the thread prints very well. I've had consistent extrusion on every print I've made to date. I haven't had any issues with stuck filaments or mismatches. I measured several points along the filament to check for inconsistencies and found none. This thread is also delivered dry and vacuumed. PETG can absorb water from the air. I would recommend storing this thread in a place where it will not collect moisture. I have it in a dry box. When PETG gets wet, it shrinks when printed. This spool of orange PETG filament has been packed in a vacuum bag. It was also dry when I got it. I didn't have to dry this thread in the oven like other brands of PETG. I've tested this thread with a couple of flexible models to make sure I'm getting stable tension. I printed the flexi cat using my usual settings and it came out flawless. I then printed a vase, which also came out flawless. After that I printed the Flexi-Raptor but increased the speed a bit to see if I can get the filament to stretch or print poorly, especially with the smaller links on the tail. I had some tension (particularly in my eye) with the Flexi Raptor, but there was none between the individual model links. So this is a thread I definitely recommend. It has a bright rich color with constant extrusion and is supplied dry in a vacuum sealed pouch. I'm planning on saving part of this thread for some Halloween prints later this year as this color gives me some serious Halloween vibes. If you're looking for Orange PETG, you can't go wrong!

Pros

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
