Review on LG 27UL500-W 4K UHD IPS Monitor πŸ” with Freesync, HDR, Tilt Adjustment, and Wall Mount Compatibility by David Hamberger

Fur - not impressed

I had high hopes for this monitor as a secondary monitor for my new MacBook Pro M1 but am very disappointed with the picture quality, sharpness, clarity and brightness. I've been using (or trying) it for about 2.5 months now and it just doesn't get the job done. This day and night differs in quality and clarity from the MacBook screen. I've tried almost every setting on the monitor, but I can't get it to work to my satisfaction. The refresh rate is also quite low. As far as color goes, things look "dark" - the white isn't white, it's more of a creamy color, and the color is fuzzy too. I've tried all the presets and custom settings - messed around with all the settings and even set the brightness to the max. In the end I give up, ordered a BenQ monitor and will try again. If you work with spreadsheets or MS Word, this will probably work for you. But as a graphic designer and web designer, this monitor completely fails.
