Review on FIERY PHOENIX TUO Vegetable Cleaver- Chinese Chef’s Knife: High-Quality Stainless Steel Cutlery with Pakkawood Handle - 7 inch - Gift Box Included by Amy Washington

I've been using this 7 inch Chinese chef's knife for about two months. It was received sharp out of the box. This knife is visually stunning, well made, attractive and easy to use. The packaging is also more than acceptable. The shape of the blade combined with the sheen of the Pakkawood handle is stunning and immediately caught my attention. Its appearance prompted me to look for flaws in the finish. I couldn't find one. The fit and finish of my 7 inch paring knife is impeccable. The balance point seems to be ideally placed on my pincer grip just in front of the bolster, which is remarkable for a cleaver. The performance of this vegetable cutter is really great. You would expect this knife to excel at chopping, and it really does. Its sharp edge and weight make it quick to tackle carrots and potatoes while still being nimble and sharp enough to cut delicate herbs like Italian parsley. I enjoy using this TUO vegetable cutter so much that it has quickly become my go-to knife and stays right next to the cutting board. The Chef'sChoice Pronto Pro Diamond Hone 4643 keeps this knife in great shape. This knife is excellent value for money and I think most home cooks like me will be very happy with this TUO Chinese paring knife. Aside from a multi-knife discount when purchasing multiple knives from the TUO Fiery Phoenix series with this purchase, I received no compensation for my review. To be honest after this purchase I really love TUO knives now and own different knives from TUO Fiery Phoenix series, B&W series and I even bought three knives from TUO Ring series. A good thing! UPDATE 9/27/17: I am so impressed with this particular knife that I bought my second 7" vegetable cutter during a lightning sale. I felt like I needed a spare knife in case this knife was discontinued in the distant future. If TUO Cutlery made this particular blade shape out of VG-10 steel with a Damascus finish, I would buy it in a heartbeat. This knife is awesome! But the VG-10 Damascus finish blade will make this knife even more appealing than the current five star rating this knife has already earned.
