Great meat cleaver

I just received it yesterday and it's a really great knife. I figured I'd need some knives in the kitchen, but this one does the job of a few. If you want to give it as a gift, it comes in a great box. Very well made TUO cutlery.

Faulty knife / not durable.

Blade tip bent after less than 2 weeks of use. I handle my cutlery with care, I never put it in the dishwasher, I dry it immediately after washing and put it back on the magnetic shelf. Unfortunately, that shouldn't happen. I will ask for a refund/replacement.

Knife culture is out of control!

If you're looking for a large, heavy knife of this shape, buy it. Good for cutting pizza, quesadillas, meat, meat on the bone, meat again - boned again, meat, crap and pizza. It cuts vibrant daylight out of veggies, but I prefer to use a straight knife when I want to dice or thinly slice. For everything else, this knife beats. A good heavy duty knife is my first choice when I need to cut/cut a lot

Nice heavy duty knife that is very comfortable to use and reasonably well made for a $30 knife. I like the weight and shape of the blade; I feel like I have more control over the edge than with a chef's knife. I have used this knife for slicing vegetables, slicing large fruits, butchering poultry and slicing large chunks of meat. Store immediately after washing and sharpen regularly. I also bought a knife sheath to protect myself and the blade as this product only comes with the box it comes in

Exceeded my expectations

Originally I only intended to use the second set when sending my shuns for sharpening or entertaining guests. They have arrived and today I tested them in the kitchen. All I have to say is WOW. You feel RELIABLE. Comfortable and high quality. Complaints about the handle (that it's not made of wood) are beyond me. I've been using this 7 inch Chinese chef's knife for about two months. It was received sharp out of the box. This knife is visually stunning, well made, attractive and easy to use.
