Gun was originally purchased in 2015 for $23. He has now been in the service for five years. I am a professional and use construction adhesive, silicone or various sealants in almost every job. That's the gun I use. I've done some maintenance and keep it pretty clean. However, I like the smooth ride and cast aluminum grip. It's a good car and I'm glad I bought it. Every gun I've owned felt like a cheap toy by comparison. Is the current price worth it? Only if you value quality tools. Is it the best of all possible weapons? As if I knew. Original Review: Tajima is said to "automatically" stop the flow of sealant or adhesive. At best, you have to let go of the thumb bar to take some pressure off the hose. It can be expected that the material will not flow after the trigger is released, which is unrealistic for the nature of any compaction tool. On the plus side, I like the design and feel of the grip and trigger, which are cast aluminum. Great feeling and great view. I have used this weapon regularly in the field for several years. Recently I've had to add extra springs to the mechanism to ensure the piston advances properly when the sealant or glue reaches the last quarter of the tube. Otherwise the butt would slip instead of the grip when I pull the trigger. So I'm glad I was able to fix it and I'm not impressed that an expensive gun can fail like that.
