I used this amazing set of knives (planer, hook and chisel) to carve my first spoon. It's tough, of course, but I like it. I'm relatively new to woodcarving and before making this spoon I had never used a chisel or hook. All three knives are well made and the fit and finish meets my expectations from BeaverCraft. They are very sharp from the factory. The first day I had them, the nick bit me and ripped off a large piece of my thumb, resulting in four stitches. When you order these, please purchase protective gloves or finger guards. These tools are great, but if you put safety first, you'll be fine. Do not let children use them unsupervised until you are sure they can handle them. However, look at the picture. A knife set, drafting knife, sling and blank spoon are all BeaverCraft products. If I ever need to replace them I would buy these knives again. Every time I'm looking for a new woodcarving tool or project, I stop by the BeaverCraft website and the Revain shop. I am never disappointed with their products. BeaverCraft staff are very friendly and quick to respond to your messages. This is a generous company.
