Reliable and practical GPS with some bizarre design flaws

In terms of features and design, this product gets 5 stars. Easy to read display with useful information. One of the reviewers stated that the fastening straps need to be removed - this is incorrect. To charge the device, simply unscrew it. I deducted a star for an obvious and strange design flaw and lack of proper tuning instructions. 1) Block FOUR indicates miles or kilometers. If you select miles, the device displays feet until it reaches 9,999 feet and then converts to miles. So 9,999 feet / 5,280 = 1.9 miles (round up). This happens every time you turn on the device! VERY VERY weird, I have no idea why anyone would design it that way, but it makes no sense. I ride 10 miles plus bike rides so it's ok but I wanted to point out this oddity. On a final note - I contacted the seller about this, although they politely accepted my suggestion - they seemed to have no idea the problem existed. 2) The setting includes the time zone setting, numbered from 0 to 9. There is nothing in the instructions as to what these values refer to. The seller gave me a map of the time zones of the world and apparently the values correspond to the time zones. This is normal, but please include it in the instructions! All in all, this is a great device and I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
