Ingenious function thanks to adjustable filling openings. I use coarse sea salt as my main product and in order for it to flow out easily the holes need to be slightly larger than my vintage crystal salt and pepper shakers. This shaker can be used for both salt and pepper. It's no problem finding out what's inside because the bottom is made of glass. The stainless steel construction matches my pepper mill, which is uniform in size and shape. However, I am considering getting a second loose pepper shaker.
