I needed a small, self-priming, inexpensive pump for the bilge water loads that are not served by a standard bilge pump. This pump fits the bill. The download stopped after a few uses. Suspecting dirt had gotten into the pump, I removed the suction and discharge pump covers being careful not to lose the small springs and valves, flushed the pump and reassembled: all is ready. The whole process took about ten minutes. Valves and chambers are very small, so minute debris is likely to cause pump failure. I now have gauze on the inlet hose to keep dirt from getting into the pump.
