2005 Ranger with 2.3L 4 cylinder engine. 245.00 miles. Fits perfectly. Half the price of national auto parts dealers. The Ford dealer wanted over $715 for a new alternator and battery. Only $125 out of my pocket for parts. Note ** My car has air conditioning. To replace the alternator, remove the 4 A/C compressor mounting screws (10mm) and tilt the compressor up to remove the old alternator and install the new one. Be careful not to kink the air conditioning hoses. Only about 2 inches of additional space is needed to remove the alternator. The air cleaner hose and upper radiator hose must be disconnected for access. The work there is a bit crowded. Another alternative was to remove the fan and fan cover - forget it. It took us 1.25 hours.
