YES IT IS HARD to install it on Rogue. It is true. The manufacturer placed the filter in an odd spot under the globe tray and due to the rigidity of this filter it seems impossible. I can't fault the product for that. Back then it was one of the two main options for my car, it was the next day and I don't like waiting so I went for a more sophisticated product. You can do it if you make an effort! 1) The first thing you want to do when you take it out of the box is bend it like an accordion. You want to get some creases in it. You will be able to feel when all the rigidity is flexed. 2) Then take a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw, then remove the cover and pull out your old nasty filter. Get rid of leaves or dirt. 3) Pay attention to the direction of the airflow. I recommend inserting the new filter at an angle and tilting it back and forth. Gently squeeze the top and bottom together as you slide into the body. Squeeze, tilt, swing, slide. Be careful not to tear. 4) Reinstall the cover and screw. Pat yourself on the back, it will work. Took me about 20 minutes but I managed and I also took breaks in between as it was 100 degrees outside. This was the first time I've changed a filter, so you can do it too! It's better to pay someone to do it.
