It really works. Try it out before putting the dryer back in

Works great. Don't let the installers tell you it doesn't work. Bought a dryer from Lowe and the installers swore it wouldn't work. Take it out of the box first. Move it up and down, in and out. My vent was on the floor and I had to take it to the dryer, which was on a platform that was 11 inches high and three inches taller. First of all, do not place it at right angles to the ground. Make sure it can turn itself on before the installers arrive. I had to cut the bottom off with metal snips but I think you should - or because my vent was near the bottom. Then make sure it can rotate towards the ventilation area. I have an extra 4" jack in case I need to venture a little further. So buy it just in case and send it back when not in use. Get some aluminum tape. NOT tape. Use this to close the vents between the dryer and the thin vent. You don't need a hose. They are cheap and fragile, and the heap penetrates them. Once installed, I installed the dryer within 6 inches or less of the wall and on a platform I built. I'm not a mechanic and haven't done this before. I had to play around with it to understand how it works. It reaches zero inches. It doesn't look like it when you receive it, so you need to take it out of the plastic bag. Apparently it's not used very often if you have installers because the 4 Lowes installers had no idea what it was or how to use it. I'm a woman and it was basically a case of "she's crazy". Get those thin air vents. The dryer does not have to be far from the wall
