I bought it to charge a 24V LiFePO battery in my 12V car. I'm surprised that almost everything I need is built into this small device. First set the CV (constant voltage) to the desired output voltage with no load. Then set the required CC (constant current) to the desired maximum output current with load. You can then set the UVP (Under Voltage Protection) as you like to prevent it from draining the car battery while the auxiliary battery is being charged. It took some effort to get the RRP set to 13V. It has been shown to maintain a constant current until it approaches a given voltage, after which the current falls to zero. I don't know what voltage drop will restart the current again. I'd really like to use this thing without a separate voltage monitoring charge controller, but not sure if that's safe. It looks similar to the picture, but not quite. Input screw terminals and fuse positions are different. The fan is very quiet and, I'm sure, quite cheap. With 13.5V 12A at the input and 29.2V 5.1A at the output, it gets warm but not hot. The fan works to cool it down. My current intention is to run it from the cigarette lighter power socket so I limit the input to 12A. Future intention is to install a larger power socket in my car so I can go to 20A and at 9 -10A can charge. Its max current is 20A so I don't know if that will bring it closer to the input limit to shorten its lifespan. Just take a look. So far it works as I expected and does what I need. Now we have to find the body.
