Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Celina Marciniaks ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

My rating and comments on the points are as follows: Ice - 5 with minus points out of 5, excellent grip, but there are comments on the behavior when braking, it breaks a little, but not critical. Snow - 4 points out of 5, tire stability on snow, moderately aggressive tread pattern, which helps the tire overcome snow drifts and remove snow from under the contact patches for predictable forward movement. Wet asphalt - 4 points out of 5 with a "plus", a good grip and the release of water and porridge from under the contact patch thanks to the herringbone tread Dry asphalt - 5 points out of 5, stable grip, confident predictable braking and the same confident acceleration, most likely a good role is played by the soft rubber compound of this tire, which adapts well and clings to dry cold asphalt. As a result, a solid "five" in terms of driving characteristics and "good" in terms of price-quality ratio.

Pros
  • Driving performance at the highest level, Excellent stability and predictability of tire behavior on winter roads.
Cons
  • Relatively high noise level when driving on asphalt. Even smaller studs leave the noise level relatively high
