Mechanical is better than nothing, probably
and I have to press the buttons several times. You also have to be a clicker ninja and point the remote control at the right spot for the TV to respond. Some number keys are hopeless. It's missing a zoom button, so what screen size was your TV the last time your genuine Samsung remote worked? That's all. Forever and ever. That doesn't change anything. Annoying when watching old movies and series. It's nowhere near as responsive as the original Samsung version. It annoys me that Samsung has discontinued the remote control for my TV and I've tried so many replacements. It's not very good, but so far it's the best direct replacement I've tried. Update: He lasted 7 months and then died.
