Okay, I'll treat myself to several different types of DPS sets. Knitpicks make great products. See her own website for her beautiful yarn. I have these because the ones I already have in rainbow wood are quite dark so I need lighter colored threads to make working with dark threads easier. You top up the account. You are a little darker than in the photo, a light honey blonde. They are well made, strong and smooth but not slippery like metal. They also come with -6- needles in each size. It comes in handy in case someone breaks - I've never broken one of their pins - but I also like to use a separate thumb piercing pin on mittens and gloves and so the 6th pin is actually used a lot by me. I can highly recommend this sock knitting tip: If you don't wear the heels of your socks well and wear them out, then bind off the heel loops, I do this for about 2/3 of a knitting needle using a size larger, so it's easy to pick them up again when you force the heel to throw in k2p2 as well. Knit and cast on at the back in the pattern you would use to knit the sock, using a long tail to make a "tail" out of a single piece of this yarn - about a yard - and cast on leave tails at each end. Throw up stitches to use in adjacent stress point work. Continue knitting the sock. If you also have problems with your toes, you can drop and lift them again. Drop heel and toe in K2P2 for flexibility. This makes the heel and toe truly separate pieces of knit that you can take out and replace as needed, without the live stitch nightmare. Then, finish off with your choice of flat or rounded heels and toes. You can also start knitting toe-to-cuff style from the ball of your foot and then go back, lift the toe and do it. Again, use a long tail here. So you don't have to start at one point etc. no heel turns. Have fun knitting.
