expensive insoles with thick cushioning but no arch or ankle support
If you want more cushioning in your shoes, these insoles may help you. They give you a lot of cushioning with really no other features. There is no arch support or ankle support. These won't help you at all if your foot pain is from poorly supporting shoes. Price is high for insoles with only cushioning. Sizing is very large. The size chart recommended size large for my men's size 9 shoes and I had to trim a lot to get them to fit.
