WILL NOT FIT my 2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback 2.3L Engine

Something is wrong with this case. Firstly, despite being the same size as my original case and looking almost exactly the same. It doesn't screw all the way in, leaving the threads open about an inch. Secondly, for some reason a 6mm allen wrench will not fit the drain plug (which is one of the main reasons I bought this case as I broke the bolt on the original), the head of the allen wrench is kinda bigger than the hole, not in the original. Third, the o-ring is not seated properly, on the original case the o-ring sits at the end of the threads and is stuck. On this one, the O-ring sits almost on the last thread and has a slightly loose fit. And finally, my spring fell apart a couple of times trying to maneuver it. In the whole time I've changed the oil on my Mazda 3 I've never had a broken spring and I've probably changed the oil myself maybe 10-15 times. This part must be very conflicting because A) I've bought other Dorman products and had great OEM-like results. B) There are other reviewers who seem to say it's perfect for the 2.3L engine and other reviewers say it doesn't fit the 2.3L L engine and C) Rockauto, an amazing auto parts depot that actually lists this part as the only part for the body, they don't even have an OEM part on their website. So they have to trust that part too. Unfortunately, if you receive a faulty or "perfect match" it can be lucky.
