The pad and controller feel good, the cable feels chew-resistant, and the case is soft and comfortable for dogs, albeit thin. Its size is probably best for small to medium sized dogs. Definitely not for big dogs. Now it's getting warm but not very hot, we turned the knob to the highest heat setting and it was just warm. I don't know if this is normal or not. It says it should warm up to 130°F, and it doesn't really seem that warm. The rest of the timer function is good. Overall it's good but it would be better if it was warmer for the cold nights for the puppies. Aftercare: After several first uses, the heating pad has become significantly warmer. Now very happy with the heat!
