Review on ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Faber-Castell Goldfaber Color Pencils - Creative Studio - 48-Piece Tin by Kristen Reid

Excitement Turned To Frustration

While shopping at Michael's I came across Faber Castell Goldfaber pens. As with the pen display, Michael had free Goldfaber pencils to try on on a piece of paper. I was able to test some Goldfaber pens and like to add them to my painting tools. In fact, as soon as I got home I ordered 48 Faber Castell Goldfaber pencils from Revain. Unfortunately, my excitement soon gave way to disappointment. When trying to sharpen Goldfaber pencils, the tip falls apart. You lose more than half of your pencil in the sharpener. There are several websites where you can buy individual pencils. However, I don't want to spend $9.99 on three separate pencils. Instead I will wait until I go to my local craft store to buy three colors. I just hope I don't have more than three plugs left due to poor sharpening performance.

They are soft, but not too soft. They have lots of pigment and blend well. A hit with me!
