Review on Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 215/65 R16 98H summer by Adam Wojtczuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

The options for tires in the size 275/65 R17 are limited. Michelin's innovative tread design scared them off, Nokian's SUV came first, and the Japanese were instantly rejected for their renowned stiffness. After much deliberation and a fruitless search for evaluations, I went with the Conti and have never looked back. This is despite the fact that the car, being a heavy 4x4, spends 99.9% of its time on asphalt. The car was noticeably quieter after Nokian (who is rather a powerful middle peasant) was taken, and the bumps and uneven pavement became less of an issue. Rusting is completely painless. The shield is brand new, but it doesn't float in the rain and the handling has been greatly enhanced, especially around corners. There have been no major complaints about road tires, and there is good reason to expect the same level of success with the tire's performance on mild soil. The prior LX, as stated by the author before me, is even gentler. If that's the case, this whole thing is a bomb. I am updating my 2012 assessment. For the sake of the tire's quiet and smooth operation, I swapped out my shoes for the following size: 285/60R18, a speed rating of V. Don't let the guys know how much she's buzzing! Yes, ease and comfort even on a rough road at high altitude. But the roar at 80-105 km/h is merely metal on metal. However, this is the most common method of traveling at a steady pace. In addition, it ruins both new and ancient asphalt. The standard pressure is a product of Czech production. Overall, I'm a lot downtrodden! The previous Toyo was a lot less noisy. Overall negative. _ The hum stopped after about 15,000 kilometres. It's still reassuring. It seems like the tires have run out of tread. Good!

Pros
  • Very peaceful, spacious, and secure on the road.
Cons
  • Price.
