This is a well made little instrument with a clear, colorful and easy to read display. It's easy to use: just aim and pull the trigger. This will turn on the device and start the measurement. There is a built-in laser template that shows the measured area; The further away the object is, the greater the spread of the laser pattern, indicating a larger measurable area. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the device as I have no other instrument to calibrate it and by mere calculation I have no reason to doubt it. The documentation claims an accuracy of +/-2%, which is sufficient for most applications. Included are a 9V battery, a screwdriver for the captive screw securing the battery tray, a carrying case and instructions. pretty nice tool.
