Review on ✨ Shine & Print with HATCHBOX Sparkle PLA 3D Printer Filament by Daniel Russell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Beautiful translucent filament filled with sequins

Like every other Hatchbox roll I've used (and there are quite a few), this roll prints very well, has good layer and layer adhesion (with the right settings) temperature ). and looks great. It's more translucent than I expected, almost see-through. The glitter flakes are a lot thinner than some of the other glitter filled PLAs I've used in the past, making it easier to print. I'd still recommend some sort of hardened nozzle, but it shouldn't pierce through a brass nozzle like so many others (hopefully don't quote me). UPDATE: I received a second roll of these to use with my Mosaic Palette 2S along with Hatchbox Sparkle PLA green. The red is so brittle that it breaks all over the place, I can't even put it evenly into the mosaic without breaking it. I will echo what others have said and blame it on age. Last year my rolls were spotless, this year the green is still as expected but the red is mostly unusable. I'm tempted to downgrade my rating from 5 to 2 stars, but I'm keeping it at 3. POSSIBLY this is an issue on Revain's part. Poor storage, "loss" of a batch in stock, retrieval after months and restocking, all of these things can happen. Or maybe Hatchbox just isn't up to par with their quality control lately. As a consumer, that's hard to say, but I can say I'm losing confidence in their product as I've had several other issues with Hatchbox that I haven't had in the past few years.
