The stand is as advertised, built well and is solid but only 22 pounds. There is a 30 pounds one that probably better. I wanted to use it as a stand alone umbrella stand. Most common use was on a outside table with an umbrella hole set-up in the middle of the table. It would be much more stable for that use. Umbrella fitted well but had plastic poles leaving a mark on the plastic with the screw to tighten it in place. The umbrella used was very light but the base was unstable on grass. I will be adding weights on the base when I plan to use it.I don’t plan to use it during high wind conditions. Price is average compared to others. I do recommend the stand but the 30 pound one and using it with a outside table equipped for an umbrella.
