Okay, let's get down to business, first some context to understand why I'm writing this review: I've been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years and manage several hundred people in this business. I also personally cook several times a year for sometimes hundreds of people per event because I enjoy it. I bought them for personal use for monthly church dinners. The idea is that I a) have nothing to clean and b) can leave the leftovers for others without having to worry about returning my containers. So they're not a heavy, professional weight, but they're good for leftovers and such. . Likewise, lids are made of very thin cardboard and do not keep steaming food, i.e. generally hot food, for long. On the other hand, they are perfect for smaller events. I like the size and the lids close well. They're heavy enough for their purpose, but don't overload them. I would also suggest covering the contents with a piece of foil or plastic wrap before putting the lid on and then attaching and securing the lid. This keeps the lid from becoming a flimsy nothing, allowing the container to be resealed at the end of the event. You'll probably want to do the same for pretty much anything, including items that might come in contact with the lid, since any moisture will seep into the lid and give it away. it's useless. They aren't very heavy but they do the job well and I would buy them again.
