Better than a presto popper which requires special stakes and tends to burn popcorn after a few servings. It took me a while to get the hang of Lekue, but I ended up with really good popcorn. First DO:1. Use about 1/4 cup corn or less.2. Shift to High for about 2 minutes. When the popping stops, stop it.3. Pour the popcorn into a bowl. There are several unopened cores in the popper.4. Let the remaining cores explode for about a minute. When the popping is almost done (1 second between pops), turn it off and go to the bowl.5. Practice a little. Every microwave oven is unique and different types of popcorn behave differently. NO1. Don't wait for every core to appear. Some will eventually burn out.2. Don't get distracted. The time between perfection and burnt popcorn is very short. Cleaning is very easy as long as you don't use oil and sugar. When using them, put some water and a drop of dish soap in the popper, microwave for 20 seconds, then rinse. The clean version (no oil/salt) was easier to control and made nice light popcorn.
