WOW! VERY SURPRISED!

My husband complained that the popcorn was "chewy". We tried many different brands but all proved tough. I searched the internet for the best popcorn makers and was even willing to shell out up to $100 for the West Bend brand. I found a review on several poppers and this one turned out to be the best, even surpassing the $130 West Bend popper. For only $20 I figured it was worth a try. We were amazed at how great it worked! You'll have to really "baby" it the first few times to see how long it…

Rescued from the Trash

Terrible first results using a 1200W microwave with Jolly Time Organic Popcorn and Wesson Canola Oil. I was ready to trash this popcorn maker after the first two tries. Why? Following the directions, I tried 1/3 cup popcorn with a tablespoon of cooking oil and it nearly burned. The popcorn was still popping vigorously as smoke came out of the microwave door. In the center of the popper was a large blob of burnt popcorn surrounded by perfectly cooked but smoked popcorn. BUT? Since then I've had…

Great popper IF (hint) you follow these simple guidelines and NO

Better than a presto popper which requires special stakes and tends to burn popcorn after a few servings. It took me a while to get the hang of Lekue, but I ended up with really good popcorn. First DO:1. Use about 1/4 cup corn or less.2. Shift to High for about 2 minutes. When the popping stops, stop it.3. Pour the popcorn into a bowl. There are several unopened cores in the popper.4. Let the remaining cores explode for about a minute. When the popping is almost done (1 second between pops)…

Regular popcorn with the convenience of microwave popcorn

My first impression: Following the directions, I used 1/2 cup seeds, 1 tbsp olive oil, and a few drops of table salt. After about two minutes in the microwave I realized that 1/2 cup was too much. Although he still clapped vigorously, the lid came off and the popcorn squirted out. The popcorn at the top of the stack is a bit burnt, the rest is fine. There were some unroasted kernels, but most likely because I turned off the microwave before it turned into this scene from True Genius. Next time…

10 STAR RATING! THE BEST POPCORN EVER USED!

This is the BEST AND EASIEST popcorn maker I have ever used! The tastiest popcorn comes out in minutes. I just received it yesterday and have already made 5 batches of popcorn! It pops the corn quickly and evenly, leaving very few unexploded kernels. I only used 1/4 of the C kernel and the popper was almost full of popcorn. I have used Orville Redenbacher popcorn and all 5 batches have been AWESOME! I set my microwave oven to 4 minutes and listened to the pops slow down. Once the POPING SLOWED…

Works great in a large microwave, but not in a small one.

I have had a Lekue popcorn machine for 4 years and I love it. I've even bought two more and gifted them to friends who also love their Lekues. He made countless bowls of perfectly whipped popcorn until today I used a smaller microwave. More on that later. That's how I always make popcorn. I add the Trader Joe's oil-free popcorn kernels just below the top 100 gram mark and then, without pressing down, very gently place the lid in the bowl so it's flat all the way around. I put the Lekue in the…

I've had this popper for a little over a week. I bought it the day after it went on sale on Prime Day for about $14. So I paid full price (19.95) and a week later it dropped to 15.50. Anyway, I've tried to get Amazon to tell the difference but apparently they only do it for TVs. But you are not interested in my order history for this product, you want to know what I really think about the product. So far I've used it probably half a dozen times. I use Black Jewel popcorn (about 1/8 cup) with…
