Review on πŸ”Œ Nano-Micro-Nosolder Board ATmega328P: Compact USB Nano V3.0 Controller - 5V 16M by Robin Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These have some special features.

I bought these mainly for the micro USB interface because obviously we have more of these cables than anyone else. But after a few months of use I can't say if I would buy it again. The fact that they have an old bootloader doesn't matter since you flash them to a new bootloader using a USB card like this https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-ATMEGA8-Programmer-USBasp-Cable/ dp can /B00AX4WQ00/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=usbasp&qid=1557912518&s=gateway&sr=8-1. The main problem I had with them is that some of them - for no reason - lost the ability to communicate via USB, so I have to program them with a USB card that works, but then with a running program to interact I have to use the software serial number and a separate serial number. Which is really impractical. I've been working with Arduino for a few years now and have never seen them lose their USB capabilities by accident. Maybe it's just luck or their choice of cheap components, these things just generally seem "clunky" and inconsistent to me. Unless you're completely hooked on the micro-USB connector, I recommend using a more solid nano. I've had good luck with this before: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D12TWNZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1*** Updated 06/08/19 *** Only one link with a working USB port. I will definitely not buy these again. Downgraded from 3 to 1 star as only one works properly. It's really a shame.
