As described, these extensions are perfect for standard shock absorbers. A few things to know: 1.) Aftermarket shocks may have the same thread type but a larger stem under the lower threads. That doesn't mean the thread is wrong, it means that one of the two bad reviewers didn't read well enough. 2.) The metal is soft. exactly the threads. This will help with snapping after carving. Always clean the threads first and turn them around before screwing in to make sure the threads turn properly. Don't force it. It's very easy to thread all the way with little or no resistance. Percussion threads are superior to extension threads. You can easily break the extension cords and render them unusable. On a note. I actually installed mine on a KYB Monomax. The shank diameter was larger than the inner diameter of the extensions. I actually managed to stretch the inside diameter of the extension. Allow threads to meet and interact. It did not splinter, break, or compromise structural strength. Don't try this unless you're very good and don't know exactly what you're doing. It is not the product's fault if it fails due to an application other than that specified. I only mentioned this to show how good this product really is as the other 2 reviews are misleading. There is nothing worse than making bad purchases based on false reviews. I myself regularly return items. It is important that buyers are well informed about the product and are not put off or persuaded by misinformation. I have provided many photos showing the advertisements and can personally confirm that the product is as described and works as intended.
