I bought two of these drill bits to use with my Hole Hawg when running electrical wiring in my new home. I've used Irwin bits in the past with good results and it seemed like a good deal. My old M cutter lasted about half the project (about 250 holes in the studs/beams) when it started to dull, so I switched to one of the new Irwin cutters. It was so blunt from the start that it could hardly drill a hole with significantly more force than my old, worn drill bit. Then I tried another new Irwin drill bit and it worked fine but after 5 holes it also stopped drilling. It's like Irwin skipped the heat treatment of the denture. At that point I went to my local home center and bought a brand new M-Bit which I used to wire the rest of my house with no problem. Unfortunately, enough time passed between buying these beats and trying to use them. that I didn't have a Revain return period, so I'm stuck with the price.
