Review on Red Heart Super Saver Chunky Yarn in Black - Coats by Gelin Battle

This yarn is great! This is #5 "chunky" weight, a notch above #4 worsted weight (the most common yarn). I made a small amigurumi bear with a regular Red Heart worsted weight and a G hook and used the exact same pattern to make a lion with an "I" hook and this yarn. The toy lion came out much bigger. The bear was about 10 inches tall and the lion about 14.5 inches tall and of course the overall size of the head/body etc is proportionally larger as well. Same pattern, no changes except yarn and hook size. . I like that it feels a little more durable yet still feels soft. It makes a wonderful stuffed animal! I will be buying it for many more projects, now I know how it works! I just wish there were more colors!
