Review on Wera Kraftform Kompakt Ratcheting Screwdriver by Mike Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good and comfortable. Better for larger devices

I'm an IT professional and do everything from desktop repairs to TV installations. I had an iFixIt electronic repair kit that worked great but couldn't handle large screws and was very large. Also, I tried to create a shared tool box since I was moving away from my parents house and needed my own tool box. I saw this and thought it would be great for any screws big or small. It worked great for large screws when hanging TVs, fans and pictures. I have used it for lawn mower repairs and many other occasions. However, this didn't work well for small devices or small screws in general. The heads are big and the screwdriver is big. I removed a few different screws with this one. Also, if the screws, big or small, don't have much tension, the ratchet function won't work. It's not sensitive enough to work properly. I thought this might be the case before I bought it. I didn't think this would be a problem as you usually don't need a ratchet if it's already loose. However, a ratchet should come in handy at a combat point that limits arm movement. This screw did not bring any advantages in such situations. Overall, I recommend this product for tool bags everywhere. Even though it's big, it's a lot better than lugging around multiple screwdrivers. This is a big advantage for me since I have a car. It also feels very durable. The knob on the handle is a nice feature that I wasn't expecting. This allows you to open with one hand and quickly change bits on the fly. It's just a shame they didn't make a smaller, shorter version. I still don't regret the purchase.
