My Hapstone R2 is my fourth Hapstone sharpener (for the sole reason that I love using it). Compared to some other similarly priced knife sharpening systems on the market (like the KME or Edge Pro, both of which I also own), the Hapstone system is way ahead and the quality is much better. They are built like a tank and deliver excellent results. It may seem expensive at a market price of over $250, but it's worth every penny and more. The value for money is really amazing for what you get. Combined with a digital angle cube, a fine adjustment adapter and a good set of sharpening stones, you won't find a better sharpening system at this price point. The only sharpening system in the same quality class is the TSPROF K03, but in a significantly higher price range. Working with Gritomatic is also a real pleasure. A US based company with great values, support and quality control and they are great if you ever need help or have questions.
