I have never bought yarn without washing instructions. Since the fiber content is 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, I assumed it was superwash wool. Unfortunately, there are no care instructions, so I don't risk putting the finished piece in the washing machine (even on gentle mode). As already mentioned, this yarn is very thin - about as heavy as the lace. I knit a feather and fan scarf out of it. The colors are as I expected. While the description says you can use it to make socks, you should definitely use double or triple thread when making this. This is the ideal weight for a lace Estonian shawl. I love these sheer shawls and might buy a few skeins for my next shawl.
