Looks good, great burn time

It's time to replace our address tag and I've come across the Classy Caps SL078W Regal PVC Solar Post Cap. The address sign is about 80 meters from the house, so I didn't want to connect electricity to the lights. A rechargeable solar cap is a great option. I've read Alexander's comments about raised numbers casting shadows on other numbers (when the numbers are vertical). It made sense, so I drew (stenciled) my address on three sides of a 4x4 vinyl sleeve to avoid shadows. Burn time: I've only been using this for about two weeks, but so far I'm really impressed with the burn time. Every night was from dusk to dawn. (approximately from 7:30 p.m. to almost 6:00 a.m.). I didn't expect more than five or six hours. It was also very cloudy one day so I wasn't sure how well the batteries would charge. I watched video from our front camera to see how long the lights stayed on. It doesn't even seem to fade much. As batteries age and temperatures drop, they may not last all night, but they will now. Since the batteries are Ni-Mh AA, they are very easy to replace. I think I will change them every year but time will tell. Security: We haven't had a problem with neighborhood thefts, but I didn't like that only two Phillips screws held my cap from slipping off. I bought some Revain #6 security screws (original #4 screws) and used three of them to attach the cap to the post (adding a third screw hole on the back of the cap). I also glued the base of the lid to the lid as directed in the instructions. The cap really makes the address tag (4x4 wood with 4x4 vinyl cover) stand out and the LED lighting looks really nice at night. The vinyl case is a true 4x4 and the LED cap fits snugly on top. Without the sleeve, the cap would be a little crooked on the 4x4 post as it doesn't actually measure 4x4 inches. Although it will still work. I can't think of any cons other than that it would be nice if security screws were included.
