I usually buy replacement air filters from local auto parts stores but it wasn't until I realized how much those stores charge for air filters which I'm only now going to buy through Revane. (Motor oil is almost always sold at the best price in auto parts stores, which tempts you to buy their oil filters and air filters without a second thought, but these filters are much smaller online.) I have complete confidence in Motorcraft parts for my Ford. Although As it is very tempting to buy other cheaper brands, I have been rewarded with excellent durability and service, which gives me peace of mind when purchasing a Motorcraft. Not to mention a perfect fit, apart from the obviously better quality. But does it really matter when it comes to air filters? Probably not, but for the fact that I pay 0.59 cents more for this Motorcraft filter than for a premium fram (even when buying online) I save $8 off the auto parts store price (delivered to my door) . And again, despite the fact that almost everything related to auto parts is made in Asia, and Motorcraft is no exception, I still consider the air filter a critical part that shouldn't fail. This. If a piece comes loose or breaks, engine damage can be serious if something is atmospheric. No, it's unlikely, but have you seen how cheap and affordable some compatible filters have gotten lately? The reason we trust filters is because historically a certain level of quality control has been maintained. As new brands come and go, there are fewer concerns about brand protection. Hell, the Motorcraft filter might even be the same as some of the filters I'm talking about, but getting to my point, Motorcraft has a name and brand to protect, so I guess I did some QC buy, as well as professionally prepared, stored and applied resins, adhesives and foams.
