I make furniture for a living. 40 years. I use a lot of blades every day. I can't properly sharpen a $20 80 tooth carbide blade. This canvas is cheaper than the previous one. It cuts straight and the thin kerf provides more feed than a heavier blade, BUT. thin plate does not withstand heat. So when it gets dull, it's important to change it. It's razor sharp and cuts better than my machines tolerances. NO complaints in the first few cuts of 2 inch thick solid ash. I don't know the brand of carbide or how well it holds up. THIS BLADE IS PROCESSED ONLY ONE TIME BEFORE DISPOSAL. The teeth are very small. This is indeed a thin notched blade. Treat it right and it will work great. In the last 20 years it has become more economical to simply buy a new blade when it becomes dull. I can buy any blade for less than sharpening the same style. When the tables change again, I'll have a bunch of blades to sharpen. The blade technology is such that now a $20 blade will cut as well as some of my $150 blades.
