Wrote to Tuffy and received a reply. Basically, that's my problem: spend more money on another mat, change the box, or just get rid of it. Pretty disappointing. FROM TUFFY: When the tailgate box was designed, we were not aware of any Mopar accessories that would affect the product. A product redesign has been discussed, but I am not aware of any product redesign plans at this time. We've spoken to some customers who have cut the mat to make room for a tailgate latch, as well as some who have used different types of tonneau protection such as "luggage tub".
